In my practice, one of the most healing* experiences for people is our work with suppressed emotions. It’s a conversation when we slow down and reconnect with ourselves by turning within. We find emotions from last week, years, or decades ago. We process them, communicate with them, understand them, and release them. What’s missing? I believe the solution is on any or all of these levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
When regular meditation is not something you are ready for, connecting with the natural world can open the door to spiritual experiences and better connection with yourself. A path or a mountain or anything in nature reflects the inner landscape of experiences. We may be hiking our favorite mountain for years and never notice anything deeper. What are the three elements that make it a spiritual practice?
