about

When you have a chronic condition, you may not only struggle with the symptoms and pain, it may also be difficult emotionally.  You may experience a sense of identity loss: essential activities may be limited, perhaps the ones you enjoyed the most. At times, you may feel lost, angry, anxious or confused.

Your well-being, even pain,  is affected by mental and emotional states, including those that have been suppressed.

A clinical hypnotherapist trained in medical hypnosis can help you uncover subconscious messages and gently guide you through emotional and spiritual processes and mindset shifts.

Hypnotherapy directly addresses the psychosocial factors behind the origins and progression of a chronic disease (in addition to coaching, NLP, and somatic processes).

The approach

Hypnotherapy is a gentle method of positive transformation, which feels like both deep relaxation and focused awareness, like a spa for the mind.

It's for mentally healthy, functioning individuals, who simply want to get better, heal emotionally, and use their mind to support themselves in physical healing. It's all done in a spirit of acceptance and non judgement.

What is required of you?

Willingness to do the inner work.  Give yourself a chance to go through the process.

What's the science

The Science Behind Mind-Body Medicine

Sciences such as psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), epigenetics, and neurochemistry explain the impact of mental and emotional states on immunity, cardiovascular health, and virtually every system in the body. They direct us to hypnosis as an effective mind-body medicine. However...

for you, the work is simple:

You show up, relax, and tune in as you are guided through the various therapeutic processes. The expanded awareness, including emotional awareness, provides insight that is transformational on the physical level, because it happens in the subconscious, and we know that the body is the subconscious mind.

Literature

The relationship between the body and mind in disease has been described in books by John E. Sarno, MD, Norman Cousins, Thorwald Dethlefsen, Don Colbert, MD, Bruce Lipton, PhD,  Joe Dispenza, David R. Hawkins, M.D. PhD, Deepak Chopra, M.D. Robert Dilts, Bill Moyers, Caroline Myss, Candace Pert, PhD, Deb Shapiro. Belleruth Naparstek, Louise Hay,  and in "The Science Of Mind" and many others.

This Inner Work is for You if:

You believe in MindBody connection and in the power of Mind.  You want to discover the unconscious patterns that contributed to your condition. You consider yourself to be spiritual.

You want the relief of symptoms, but you also want to use this to evolve spiritually and personally.

You are willing to be guided to release emotional blocks.

You are open to self-reflection. You know how to go within.

You want to let go of self-judgement and improve self-care.

You take responsibility for your actions, habits affecting your health.

It may NOT be for You if:

You just want to "try it" without taking an active role in the process.

You don't believe the emotions and mind have any impact on the body.

You want to keep your right to stay angry or in a victim mentality. You are not willing to forgive.

You never self-reflect. Looking back, you don't recall times when you changed your mind or yourself.

You want the practitioner to prove to you it works, but you refuse to take responsibility for your actions affecting your health.

You are scared of hypnotherapy and inner work.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a Complementary, Mind-Body medicine. It's not an alternative modality; it's not used instead of physical treatments, but together with them, honoring the whole human: body, mind, heart, and spirit.

Some of the major hospitals in the U.S. that incorporate clinical hypnotherapy in their programs: Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Cleveland Clinic, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, VA.
