Step 1 towards your Dream: Believe you can have it [video]

If you have any questions about my crazy hair in the video: in a hot humid city and no AC! 😀

I want to share with you what may happen in a hypnosis / coaching session.  Recently I started working with someone on weight loss. And it was our 2nd session when we discovered: she doesn’t believe she can have it.  She doesn’t believe she can lose weight.

This is not only about losing weight.  Whatever tangible goal you are working towards you need to believe you can have it.

As a HYPNOTHERAPIST what do I do? Even though I’d be working with her on the food protocol, body image, emotions around food, and dozens of other topics… first we need to address the belief. The limiting belief. So in our next session I guided her slowly into the reality of having what she wants, experiencing it and feeling it. And seeing all the steps that got here there. So on some level her mind made it real.

What happens if you don’t believe you can reach your goal?

  • YOU SABOTAGE YOURSELF by taking actions that work AGAINST this goal. (wanting to pay off debt, buy “needing” and buying more stuff. Wanting to lose 4 pounds but eating cookies)
  • YOU TAKE INEFFECTIVE ACTIONS. Just to show, even if to yourself, that you are committed… but not really. Not going all in.
  • You take “AVOIDANCE” actions. Procrastinate.
  • Or you just talk about the goal but you don’t schedule the tasks.

It ‘s easy to see:

THE STRONGER YOUR BELIEF IN YOUR DREAM, THE BIGGER YOUR COMMITMENT

THE BIGGER COMMITMENT, THE MORE EFFECTIVE ACTIONS.

THE BIGGER COMMITMENT, THE BETTER BOUNCE BACK FROM “FAILURES”

What happened with this client: We met two weeks later she already have better results, she already did things that are out of character, for her, around food, it was easier to say no to sugar. She started taking actions that are supporting her goals. This is a typical result of just one session. But of course we need to deepen the commitment, reinforce the vision of the new reality, and introduce daily tools she can use, to feel on track.

Weight loss is an emotional journey. Do you need support? Call me for a free consultation and with any questions.
