It’s 2024, and I forgot to share the conversation I had several months ago with Ewelina, a Life Coach for Immigrants. It was hosted on her podcast “Empowerment for Immigrants.” The topics we discuss are universal. Of course, we all overeat, given the chance, no matter where we come from!

When I reflected on the bad blogs, bad english, bad art I have created in the past I had an EPIPHANY: even though shame is one of the most painful emotions a human may feel, I would take it over the pain of hoarding ideas, not creating, not writing and not sharing. What a revelation. It helped me to stop wasting energy on the past and focus on what I am doing now.
Continue readingDo you have a problem you have been trying to solve for a long time but you don’t see much improvement? You try to find the cause, but it is elusive.
What’s missing? I believe the solution is on any or all of these levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
When regular meditation is not something you are ready for, connecting with the natural world can open the door to spiritual experiences and better connection with yourself. A path or a mountain or anything in nature reflects the inner landscape of experiences. We may be hiking our favorite mountain for years and never notice anything deeper. When you spend some time on it, it’s not clear what is more unreasonable: the Soul’s guidance or your fear that it will suggest something inconvenient. What does it mean to be devoted to your soul’s path? How do you DO it? When you ask for guidance, do you listen? When you hear it, do you question it? Do you dismiss inconvenient things? Do you want guarantees? When you decide to hear – are you taking action on it?

When you walk or sit in nature, in silence, preferably alone, and connect to the present moment… when you truly witness what’s around you… it’s only a matter of time for something to shift within you. Nature heals in many ways. Let the rocks absorb your painful feelings. Let the streams and waterfalls soften your heart. Let the blue vastness of the sky reflect to you your heart’s capacity to feel connected to life again. […] When we are depressed, we have no energy for anything. At the same time, it’s only up to us to find just one unit of energy and do something, anything. That unit of energy can be used to find just one thought that FEELS a little bit better. When you feel a bit better, you will have more energy to do one more thing in a positive direction.

The habit of self-judgement creates excessive stress, worry, slows us down and prevents us from accessing the potential we have available now in this moment. On top of this: it makes us devalue our ideas.
Why is it often so hard to let it go? […] Try these Six practices to start letting go of self-judgement:
Change the lens through which you see the person or the situation. If we are judging somebody we are looking at that person through a negative, dark lens that lacks kindness or compassion. But if you set an intention to change that lens through which you see the person, to a lens of light, love, kindness and compassion it will affect your judgment.
